Stonecrest, GA – Multi-Vehicle Collision on I-20 Near Hill St
Stonecrest, GA (September 25, 2021) – At 5:32 p.m. on the evening of Saturday, September 25, a multi-vehicle collision occurred in Stonecrest.
According to DeKalb County Police, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-20 around the area of exit 58, Hill Street. Police confirmed that multiple vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured in the accident and had to be taken to local hospitals for treatment.
Three left lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for a period of time. Police urged those in the area to use Memorial Drive as an alternate route.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
