Sandy Springs, GA – Car Crash with Injuries on I-285 Near Riverside Dr
Sandy Springs, GA (October 3, 2021) – At 4:43 a.m. on the morning of Saturday, October 3, a car crash with injuries occurred in Sandy Springs.
According to Fulton County officials, the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of I-285 around the area of Riverside Drive. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided due to reasons that are not fully known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were injured in the accident. The injured victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
The roadway was blocked in multiple lanes until police were able to fully clear the scene. Police urged those in the area to use Powers Ferry Road as an alternate route.
