Rossville, GA – Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on Shirley Ln

Rossville, GA (November 1, 2021) – At 8:22 p.m. on the night of Sunday, October 31, a hit-and-run pedestrian accident in Rossville.

According to Walker County officials, the accident happened on Shirley Lane in the area of GA-193. A pedestrian was walking in the area when they were suddenly struck by a vehicle traveling on the roadway. The driver of the vehicle immediately fled the scene without stopping to check on the pedestrian.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The pedestrian, who has not yet been identified, was seriously injured in the accident. They were rushed to the hospital for treatment.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for a period of time. Police did not say if they found the driver responsible for the accident.
