Patterson, GA – Woman Killed in Pedestrian Accident at US-84 & GA-32

Patterson, GA (September 29, 2021) – At 6:50 a.m. on the morning of Friday, September 24, a woman was killed in a fatal pedestrian accident in Patterson.

According to Georgia State Patrol officials, the accident happened at the intersection of US-84 and GA-32. A 57-year-old woman was allegedly walking on or crossing the road when she was struck by a red Ford Focus around the area of the intersection. The driver remained at the scene to cooperate with the police.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The pedestrian, identified as a 57-year-old woman, was rushed to the hospital with traumatic injuries. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The roadway was blocked for several hours as police worked to clear the scene.

No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
