Marietta, GA – Man Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Powder Springs St

Marietta, GA (September 22, 2021) – On Wednesday, September 22, a man was killed in a pedestrian accident on a roadway in Marietta.

According to the Marietta Police Department, the accident happened on Powder Springs Street. A 46-year-old Hispanic male was trying to cross the roadway when he was struck by a passenger vehicle. The vehicle was being driven by a 51-year-old woman, who remained at the scene of the accident.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The male pedestrian was traumatically injured in the accident. He was rushed to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
