Macon, GA – Two Injured in Car Crash on Sardis Church Rd
Macon, GA (March 11, 2023) – Two people sustained critical injuries in a car accident that took place in Macon on Saturday morning, March 11.
According to Macon-Bibb officials, the accident happened around 9:30 a.m. on Sardis Church Road. Police confirmed that a white Chevy Silverado pickup truck was traveling in the area when it was suddenly involved in a collision with a black Ford Super Duty pickup truck. Both vehicles were extensively damaged in the collision.
Several responders, including Macon fire crews and paramedics, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The driver of the Silverado, who has since been identified as a 40-year-old man, was critically injured. The driver of the Ford, identified as a 65-year-old man, also sustained critical injuries. The parties were both rushed to Atrium Health Navicent by ambulance and are still listed in critical condition.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible.
