Macon, GA – Semi-Truck Collision with Injuries on I-75 Near Pate Rd
Macon, GA (December 5, 2021) – On Saturday night, December 4, a semi-truck collision with injuries occurred on a major highway in Macon.
According to Monroe County officials, the accident happened on I-75 around the area of Pate Road. A semi-truck carrying vehicles was traveling in the area when it collided with several other vehicles due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident sustained severe damages as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The driver of the car carrier truck was extricated from their vehicle. A total of two people sustained injuries and were hospitalized. Their identities and conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area of Pate Road. Drivers were urged to take an alternate route for some time.
