Macon, GA – Hit-and-Run Accident at Millerfield Rd & Shurling Dr
Macon, GA (November 2, 2021) – On Monday afternoon, November 1, a hit-and-run accident occurred at an intersection in Macon that led to injuries.
According to Bibb County deputies, the accident happened at the intersection of Millerfield Road and Shurling Drive. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided forcefully with each other. The suspect in one of the vehicles immediately got out of their vehicle and fled the scene, leaving it in a local parking lot.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The victim who remained at the scene was hurt in the collision. They were rushed to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked at the intersection for some time. Deputies spent some time searching for the suspect but it is not known if they were found.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
