According to Lawrenceville Police, the accident happened on I-85 near Sugarloaf Parkway. Two or more vehicles, including a big rig, were traveling in the area when they apparently collided in a rear-end crash. Paramedics and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were injured in the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment.

Due to the severity of the crash, nearly all lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for a period of time. Police urged those in the area to avoid the intersection for some time.

No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.

Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families in hopes of a full recovery.
