Hapeville, GA – Multi-Vehicle Collision on I-85 Near Virginia Ave

Hapeville, GA (November 28, 2021) – At 3:29 p.m. on the afternoon of Sunday, November 28, a multi-vehicle collision occurred on a highway in Hapeville.

According to Fulton County officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-85 around the area of exit 73, Virginia Avenue. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged as a result.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. The injured parties, who have not yet been identified, were hospitalized due to their injuries.

Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked for an extended period of time. All lanes were blocked until police cleared the scene.
