Decatur, GA – Police Report Injury Wreck on I-85 at Flat Shoals Rd

Decatur, GA (November 25, 2021) – At 8:15 p.m. on Thursday evening, November 25, a car accident with injuries occurred in Decatur.

According to DeKalb County officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-85 around the area of Flat Shoals Road. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment. Their conditions are not known at this time.

All lanes of the roadway were blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police urged those in the area to use I-20 as an alternate route.

The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
