Decatur, GA – Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-20 Leads to Serious Injuries

Decatur, GA (October 4, 2021) – At 4:52 p.m. on the afternoon of Monday, October 4, a multi-vehicle crash with injuries occurred in Decatur.

According to DeKalb County officials, the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of I-20 around the area of exit 68, Wesley Chapel Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they suddenly collided with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result of the collision.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured in the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment.

Two left lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for a period of time. Police urged those in the area to use Covington Highway as an alternate route.

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
