Decatur, GA – Car Crash at Covington Hwy & Glenwood Rd Leads to Injuries
Decatur, GA (November 11, 2021) – At 4:40 p.m. on the afternoon of Thursday, November 11, a car crash with injuries occurred in Decatur.
According to DeKalb County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Covington Highway and Glenwood Road. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, forcefully colliding with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. The injured victims, who have not yet been identified, were hospitalized with injuries.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection. Police urged those in the area to use Snapfinger Road as an alternate route.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
