Dalton, GA – Truck Accident with Injuries at US-41 & N Thornton Ave

Dalton, GA (September 30, 2021) – Around 5:20 p.m. on the evening of Thursday, September 30, a truck accident occurred in Dalton.

According to Whitfield County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of US-41 and North Thornton Avenue. A tanker truck was traveling in the area when it collided with another vehicle due to unknown reasons. This caused the tanker truck to overturn off the side of the road, which led to extensive damages.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured in the accident. The injured victims were rushed to local hospitals.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for an extended period of time, which led to extensive delays.
