Dalton, GA – Injuries Reported in Car Accident on Cedar Ave

Dalton, GA (December 9, 2021) – On Thursday morning, December 9, a car accident with injuries occurred on a roadway in Dalton.

According to Georgia officials, the accident happened on Cedar Avenue in the area of the Georgia Northwestern Technical College and Hemlock Street. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other, causing one of the vehicles to slam into a power pole nearby. This caused extensive damages to the vehicle and a power outage in the area.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.

Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.

No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
