Columbus, GA – Rollover Accident Leads to Serious Injuries on I-185

Columbus, GA (September 9, 2021) – Around 9 p.m. on the night of Wednesday, September 8, a rollover accident occurred on a highway in Columbus.

According to Columbus Police, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-185 around the area of Macon Road. Two vehicles were traveling on the highway when they collided due to unknown reasons, causing one of the vehicles to roll over. The accident led to extensive damages to the involved vehicles.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained serious injuries in the accident. The injured victims were rushed to local hospitals for treatment.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for several hours as police worked to clear the scene.
