College Park, GA – Rollover Crash with Injuries on I-285 Near Riverdale Rd

College Park, GA (November 12, 2021) – Before 4 p.m. on the afternoon of Friday, November 12, a rollover crash occurred in College Park.

According to police, the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of I-285 around the area of exit 60, Riverdale Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they suddenly collided due to unknown reasons. One of the vehicles forcefully overturned following the collision. The vehicles involved were badly damaged as a result.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the collision. The injured victims were hospitalized, though their conditions are not known at this time.

Due to the severity of the accident, almost all lanes of traffic were blocked for a period of time. This led to delays until police cleared the scene. Police urged those in the area to use I-20 as an alternate route.

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
