College Park, GA – Car Crash on The Perimeter Near Riverdale Rd

College Park, GA (October 16, 2021) – At 8:30 p.m. on the night of Friday, October 15, a car crash with injuries occurred in College Park.

According to Clayton County officials, the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of The Perimeter around the area of exit 60, Riverdale Road. Several vehicles were traveling on the highway as the sun went down when one or more lost control. The vehicles collided forcefully with each other, which led to extensive damages.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries in the accident. The unidentified parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment.

The roadway was blocked in multiple right lanes of traffic as police worked to clear the scene. Police urged those in the area to use Forest Parkway as an alternate route.

The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
