Claxton, GA – One Killed in Fatal Collision on Daisy Nevils Hwy
Claxton, GA (September 18, 2021) – At 3:30 p.m. on the afternoon of Friday, September 17, a fatal collision occurred on a highway in Claxton.
According to the Claxton Police Department, the accident happened on Daisy Nevils Highway around the area of Caddie Green and Mosley Road. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when they suddenly collided due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged due to the crash.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One person, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other people inside the vehicle were flown to a hospital for treatment. Their conditions are not known at this time.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
