Chamblee, GA – Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Chamblee Tucker Rd

Chamblee, GA (December 6, 2021) – At 3:30 p.m. on the afternoon of Monday, December 6, a man was killed in a fatal pedestrian accident in Chamblee.

According to Chamblee Police, the accident happened on Chamblee Tucker Road near the intersection of Meadowood Lane. A male pedestrian was walking in the area when he was suddenly struck by a driver who was traveling near the intersection. The driver did not stop and fled the scene.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The pedestrian, who has not yet been formally identified, was pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries.

Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was shut down in both directions at the intersection for some time. Police did not say if they found the driver responsible for the accident.

No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
