Augusta, GA (February 26, 2023) – On Sunday night, February 26, a fatal motorcycle accident took place on a highway in Augusta.

According to Richmond County officials, the accident happened around 7 p.m. at the intersection of Wheeler Road and Wrightsboro Road. Police confirmed that a passenger vehicle was traveling in the area when it was involved in a collision with a motorcyclist due to reasons that are not entirely known. The involved vehicles were badly damaged as a result of the collision.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The motorcyclist, who has not yet been formally identified, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. Nobody else was hurt as a result of the collision.
