Atlanta, GA – Two-Vehicle Crash with Injuries in WB Lanes of I-20
Atlanta, GA (December 11, 2021) – At 10:26 a.m. on the morning of Saturday, December 11, a two-vehicle crash with injuries occurred in Atlanta.
According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-20 around the area of Holmes Drive. Two vehicles were traveling in the westbound lanes when they suddenly collided due to unknown reasons. Photographs taken at the scene showed both vehicles with extensive damages. The vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured victims were hospitalized, though their identities and conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the accident, one or more lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for some time. Police worked to quickly clear the scene.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
