Atlanta, GA – Pedestrian Accident Involving Train Near Lenox Rd

Atlanta, GA (November 18, 2021) – On Thursday, November 18, a pedestrian accident involving a train took place in Atlanta.

According to officials, the accident happened on the train tracks around the area of Lenox Road and the Morningside Nature Preserve. A pedestrian was walking in the area when they were suddenly struck by a CSX train that was traveling in the area. The train immediately came to a stop following the collision.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The pedestrian, who has not yet been officially identified, was rushed to the hospital with injuries. His condition is not known at this time.

Due to the severity of the accident, the area was blocked in the area of Lenox Road for an extended period of time.
