The fiery air accident killed four people, including the founder and CEO of a children’s nonprofit group and his teenage daughter, officials said on Monday.
The crash occurred at the DeKalb-Peachtree Airport, according to the DeKalb County Medical Examiner’s Office. Officials identified the other victims as a 13-year-old girl and a 42-year-old woman.
The plane crashed shortly after 1:00 p.m., according to the National Transportation Safety Board. The aircraft was headed to Houston, a spokeswoman with the agency said.

The investigation is ongoing at this time. It’s unclear if any other victims sustained injuries or died in the incident.
Our deepest condolences go out to the families of the deceased victims. Our thoughts are with any injured victims and their families in hopes of a full recovery.
Air Accidents in Georgia
Though plane crashes do not happen as commonly as other accidents in Georgia, these accidents are among the most severe. This is due to the fact that planes are quite large and cause extensive damage when they come crashing down.
Sustaining injuries in a Georgia plane accident might be one of the most devastating things that you have ever endured. If a victim sustains serious injuries in a plane crash, they are likely to spend time in the hospital or away from the workplace as they work on their recovery.
Oftentimes, victims succumb to their injuries. In this case, grieving loved ones must pick up the pieces, financially and emotionally. But you don’t have to endure this stressful time alone. A skilled attorney, seasoned in Georgia law, can help you and yours get justice.
