Atlanta, GA – Car Accident with Injuries on I-285 Near Langford Pkwy

Atlanta, GA (September 12, 2021) – At 8:19 a.m. on the morning of Sunday, September 12, a car accident with injuries occurred on a highway in Atlanta.

According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-285 around the area of Langford Parkway. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles crashed around the exit 5 area and sustained extensive damages. All of the involved vehicles had to be removed from the scene by tow trucks.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals. Their conditions are not yet known.

All lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for an extended period of time. This led to delays until police cleared the scene.

The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
